It appears Christians are confused over the prime agenda of their faith. According to the Bible, spreading the gospel with the love of Jesus Christ is the continual objective (aside from the golden rules). This may be referenced as the Great Commission. Strangely though, it has been shelved for political and societal influences, things Jesus Christ never encouraged nor involved himself with.
The vanity of Christianity is their offensive over everything that doesn't concern them.
For instance, the abortion issue in American politics. Typically, Christians are against pro-choice; They're anti-abortion. Fine, but they already possess the liberty to not have abortions. So why do they aggressively protest to make it illegal? What does it matter to them? It's similar with gay marriage. No one is forcing gay marriage upon anyone (a great deal of believers consider homosexuality an irreconcilable sin). Again, why are Christians fighting against something that doesn't threaten their religious faith or practice? It seems that “Live and let live” is not an intrinsic trait of Christianity.
In the New Testament, John 3:13 reads, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” Unfortunately, it’s become nearly impossible to separate Christianity from their well-known condemnation and behavior towards anyone or anything not “their own.” The religion's hypocrisy stands impressive here.
The United States—a nation for all religions, beliefs, and practices—has become somewhat of a battle ground for Christianity. The religion proudly plays for cultural and political dominance and it has become necessary to examine the motive behind it all; Why are Christians abandoning their dogmatic ambition and to what end?
For a religion constantly proclaiming love and peace, Christianity cannot betray their DNA of aggression and judgment.
From observing Christianity’s history and modus operandi, you would assume the religion’s end-game is for world dominance. It sounds ridiculous, but what other conclusion can be drawn? Christianity has already warred, killed and destroyed millions of lives for power, authority, and control for over a thousand years on a global scale. At this point, if there's ever a message that could be derived from Christianity, it's certainly not one of love and peace. Although, for some reason, it's a deluded ideal contemporary followers still parade.
You can't attack opposition wielding a sword of love and peace.
